We are a quaint, old fashioned pub set alongside the beautiful river Dart, in the port town of Dartmouth, just a five minute walk from the town centre.
Enjoy the warm atmosphere in our traditional bar and cosy restaurant, or sit out front and watch the boats in the Marina and the Higher Ferry transporting the cars to Kingswear. We pride ourselves on using the best quality and freshest ingredients for all of the food we use in our kitchen.

What could be better than sitting in the sunshine, up on the Floating Bridges’ Roof Terrace with the most fantastic views of the surrounding area and the bustling estuary of the river Dart. The Higher ferry literally docks at the doorstep of the Pub adding interest to the whole experience. Kick back and watch the river traffic from yatchs, boats, ferries and people go about their business, There is ample, comfortable seating where drink and food can be served.
From the North
If you are heading south on the A38 (he Devon expressway) look out for sign left to the A385 to Paignton, the slip road brings you to a roundabout, don’t take the A385, take the next exit onto Webland Lane. Continue until you come to a crossroads signposted Diptford and Moreleigh, turn right here. Continue to Moreleigh where you come to a T Junction, turn left and within 50 yards the road bares to the right, stay on this lane. At the next T Junction turn left signposted 7 miles to Dartmouth (A3122). Stay on this road it will bring you into the Town of Dartmouth, at the first roundabout stay left onto Townstal Road this will bring you right passed the front door of the Floating Bridge, follow the one way right, avoiding the Ferry lane, parking can generally be found along the quayside.
From the South
If you are headinng north on the A38 you will pass Ivybridge within a few miles look for signs to Paignton A385 and from here follow the same route as specified above, ie exit onto A385 then exit onto Webland lane etc.
